Happy New Year’s to you all!

First of all, thank you all for your support over such a short period of time. You know who you are. Brace yourself as we enter this year as I get ever closer to launching Fresh Meat. My first ever completed novel. Not only is having this novel essentially 99% ready. I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Outside of Fresh Meat?

I look forward to the continuous growth and evolution of the site. As you can most likely tell, the site is relatively new and in what I call the beta stage. In the process of finalizing my post calendar so that I can continue to launch content related to all things Anthony Soto. Fresh Meat, and future books (yes, you read that right).

I also have six more Shorts to launch this new year, the first in January. This “Shorts” category is fun for me because it challenges me to think big while writing small. To my surprise, there is actually a huge online community of fans of short stories.

If you spent some time already growing through my site, you’d probably have noticed some self-help/business-related topics. As a business professional during the day, I always found joy in helping others grow and become better versions of themselves. While those topics are not the site’s main draw, I will continue to drop some throughout the year. And if you, the reader, have some ideas or topic suggestions, by all means, feel free to share.

As for Media articles, I will include some miscellaneous movie reviews or discussions(opinions) on films that either I enjoy or share a strong message. I’m more than willing to have discussions via the comments with you. I also opened up a Facebook group last week to discuss Book + Media. You are invited to join. You bring the topics, and you lead the conversation. Remember to be respectful.

Where’s the book stuff?

I can’t wait to launch my upcoming book review section. Tentative 2nd quarter. What I would like to do here is not commit myself to just big-name books. I want to help you, the self-starter or new writer. Suppose you have a story or a book that needs a review. Feel free to contact me; I’ll make time to review the book and post a review. At zero cost to you! Just know that I can’t do a 24-hour review; I need some notice to organize myself.

Self-publishing, as I’ve come to figure it out, can be a daunting, exhausting experience since you do everything. There’s a reason why millions of books go unpublished and remain on people’s minds till they die. As someone who is experiencing this for the first time, I am also willing to help.

Some folks fear self-publishing or don’t have the cash to invest in working with publishers. It is scary; I know I’m terrified, but that’s not going to stop me from releasing my first book. If it fails, it fails, but I did it. What if it did not exist….and what if it succeeds, which I’m confident it will.

Success comes from a person deciding to try one more time after failing the last attempt.
